There is a trend in this country that is highly over-looked. Many say that it’s just “fun and games,” while others say that it will simply work itself out. I hear so many say that it’s just “kids being kids.” Still, where does the fun stop? How many lives have to be ruined before we stand up and do something?
You see, bullying is a real problem. Yes, there has always been bullies. Honestly, I was bullied when I was younger. Still, over time, these bullies have gotten more abrasive in their assaults. And we, the parents and older generation, have stood by and let it happen.
We hear about the youth that commit suicide to escape the attacks, but we don’t think about all the lives that are ruined as a result. It’s a tragedy that a young life is lost, simply because someone thinks they are better than them. Still, what about those that are left behind? Families, friends, loved ones, authorities that care…they are left to wonder and mourn over the life was lost far too soon.
Still, there is a tragedy that we don’t talk about very often. What about the bullies themselves? I know what many are thinking, “Wait a minute, Rev…what do you mean what about the bullies?!” It’s simple…if a life is lost because of someone bullying another, that lost life is on the hands of the bully. No, our government may not look at it like that all the time, but our God does.
Fact is, we are all held responsible for the effect we have on those around us. Either good, or bad, we will have to answer for it all. How many lives then are truly ruined over an act of being a bully? The lives of everyone involved is effected. Sad thing is that many of these young people reach out for help, bullies and victims alike, for help. Still, we are wrapped up in our day to day to pay any attention to the cries for help.
I have watched far too many lives ruined over something as stupid and foolish as bullying. I know that I have a ministry behind me that feels the same way, and a whole world that is sick of it as well. Here’s my cry to help, my plea…if anyone needs any help, even if it’s just someone to listen to, do NOT hesitate to contact me. Either myself, or one of my directors from Xtreme Fire will be there to help…even if it’s just to listen. Bullies, victims, or even just someone concerned….we are here to help.
There is no need to bully another, and there is no reason to let a bully make you feel like you are nothing. Each of us are equally guilty of sin, and there for we are all equally loved and accepted by Jesus Christ. Despite what the world may say, or how you may feel at times, you are worth everything and there are those who care.
You see, when Christ died for ALL OF US (not just the select few) He paid a price for each of us. We no longer have to fight for God’s love, no longer have to worry if He will forgive us, and no longer have to live away from Him. Reach out, find strength, know that there is a brighter day. And always remember that God’s love is free.
If we can help in any way, or if you have any ideas on how we can help, or just want to get involved and you yourself help…feel free to contact me.
